Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, in partnership with the Japanese Embassy and the Fire Protection and Rescue Department of Tirana Municipality, implemented the project “Provision of Two 4WD Firefighting Vehicles to Tirana Municipality.”
Funded through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) program, the project improved the municipality’s ability to respond to fires and other emergencies.
Key results:
- Two 4WD firefighting vehicles provided from Japan.
- Improved access to remote and hard-to-reach areas.
- Faster emergency response and reduced fire damage.
- Enhanced safety and service delivery for residents across Tirana.
This initiative reflects the strong partnership between Help in Albania, the Embassy of Japan, the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Diplomacy (SPJD), and the Tirana Fire Protection and Rescue Department—working together to strengthen community safety and resilience.
